Whether you're looking for limo services in New York, or limo rentals in Las Vegas, our directory can find a limo serivce that fits your needs NATIONWIDE.

Airport Transfer

  1. Inquire about and specify the exact location your chauffeur will meet you upon your arrival at the airport. Ask for the chauffeur to carry a sign with the passenger’s name. This will eliminate unnecessary confusion and waiting on your part.
  2. Inquire whether the Limousine Company charges for the driver’s waiting time. This could be substantial in the event your flight is delayed. You should also inquire whether the Limousine Company monitors flight statuses to track early or late flights. This is an important factor for Companies that charge for driver’s waiting time.
  3. Inquire about the Limousine Company’s cancellation policy. Most companies require 24 hours notice for airport cancellations and will charge you in the event of late cancellation. Obtain your Limousine Company’s toll free number and make sure the Company offers 24 hour dispatch service in the event you miss your flight, you are put on another flight or unable to locate your chauffeur.

Weddings

  1. Ask to see the vehicle(s) you are inquiring about. If you don’t have time to go and visit the Limousine Company’s showroom personally, ask the company to email photo(s) of the limo(s) and other vehicle(s) you are interested in. This will ensure that you will not end up getting an old rundown limousine in lieu of the new white super stretch you were led to believe you would have. Be sure to check the year of the limousine, year, make and model as well as the amenities inside the limousine such as moon roof, tinted windows, fiber optic lights, TV, VCR, CD player, plush bar, and any other items you are interested in having in your limo.
  2. Inquire about the size of the limousine you are interested in.
  3. Inquire about overtime charges and overtime availability. Many Limousine Companies will charge you a full hour even if your time runs for example 10 minutes over the contracted time. Be sure to ask if it is possible for the Company to charge the overtime rate on 15 minute or 30 minute increments in the event of overtime. If your event ends early enough, most Limousine Companies will schedule subsequent jobs after your scheduled event. Because weddings are not always predictable, you may need the service longer than anticipated.
  4. Be sure to ask about your chauffeur’s gratuity. Most companies have a mandatory gratuity policy for their drivers which is usually anywhere from 15% to 20%. Check your contract to ensure you do not pay duplicate gratuity.
  5. Ask the availability of the Company in the event their services are needed after the contracted hour ends and get this agreement in writing, if possible.
  6. Inquire about the Limousine Company’s wedding packages. Most Companies run specials wedding rates during certain months of the year. Most Companies also will provide complimentary wedding packages that include rolling out the red carpet, specialty signs (just married), photos of the bride and groom, flowers decorated inside the limo, champagne toast for the bride and groom, etc. Be sure the complimentary items you want for your event are specified when making your reservation, and placed in the contract.
  7. Inquire about your chauffeur. Check to see if your chauffeur has experience in wedding ceremonies. Obtain the name of your chauffeur and a cell phone number, if possible. You may also want to inquire about your chauffeur’s attire during your event. Most Limousine Companies ask their chauffeur to wear a tuxedo for weddings. Be sure to specify the driver’s attire when making your reservation, and have it placed in the contract.
  8. Once you have selected a Limousine Company to provide your service, ask for a detailed contract of your reservation. Your contract should include the date of service, the time of pickup, number of hours you have reserved the vehicle, the year, make, model and color of the vehicle, the total price of the contract, including driver’s gratuity, overtime charges, and routing information, i.e. pickup and drop off locations. The Contract should also contain language detailing the Company’s policies regarding cancellations, deposits and the company’s liability in the event they are unable to provide the service.
  9. If you have hired a wedding coordinator for your event, be sure to provide a contact name and phone number to the Limousine Company, so that proper communication is established prior to or during your event. If you have not hired a wedding coordinator, choose a particular person to be in charge of directing the chauffeur and provide his/her contact information to the Limousine Company.

Bachelor/Bachelorette

  1. Because Bachelor/Bachelorette parties are not always predictable, you may need the service longer than anticipated. Be sure to ask the availability of the Company in the event their services are needed after the contracted hour ends and get this agreement in writing, if possible.
  2. Inquire about the Limousine Company’s Bachelor/Bachelorette party packages. Most Companies run specials party package rates will throw in complimentary refreshments (stocked bar depending on your age and the local State Laws), and party favorites. Be sure the complimentary items you want for your event are specified when making your reservation, and placed in the contract.
  3. One word of Caution; because Bachelor/Bachelorette parties get crazy at times, be careful about anyone in your group vomiting or spilling inside the Limo. Most Companies will charge you a substantial amount for damage to the upholstery or other areas of the Limo caused by you or your group’s negligence. Keep this in mind and ask everyone in your group to be cautions of the same.
  4. To ensure that you get full usage of your limousine, here are a few other tips that may assist you:
    • Get everyone to gather in one location. This will eliminate wasting unnecessary time for multiple pickups;
    • Provide the company in advance with all pickup and drop off addresses so that the driver has full directions in advance and will not get lost;
    • Bring your favorite CDs to listen to your favorite tunes during your rides; and bring a camera to take pictures of an unforgettable night.

Prom/Homecoming

  1. Make sure a parent or a legal guardian over the age of 18 signs the Contract with the Limousine Company. The Contract should also contain language detailing the Company’s policies regarding cancellations, deposits and the company’s liability in the event they are unable to provide the service. This will eliminate the possibility of your Limousine not showing up or canceling your reservation because the company was able to get a more feasible profit from another contract.
  2. WORD OF CAUTION: Because of State regulations, most companies are concerned about losing and have lost their licenses and operating authorities during prom season because of passengers smuggling alcohol and other illegal items inside limousines. Most companies will thoroughly search the vehicle before and after rendering transportation services.
  3. To ensure that you get full usage of your limousine, here are a few other tips that may assist you:

How do I Book a limo?

First, ask these questions: How many people will be riding in the limo? What type of limousine do you want to rent and how many passengers will the limo hold? The most important step is to get pricing from several limo providers in your area. You should balance the price to rent the limo, type of limo and the service you want.

What payment method does the limousine company accept?

Most limousine service providers accept major credit cards. Some will accept checks with pre-approved accounts. Ask the companies you get quotes from before you book your limousine to make sure you understand their payment method.
